"Art Glatfelter was a leader in every sense of the word…he was a very genuine human being; a very selfless human being. He cared about people and society and did everything he could to improve the lives of those around him." – Anthony Campisi
Art Glatfelter, the namesake of our foundation, wasn't just a friend to all; he was a beacon, drawing people in with his warmth and genuine spirit. As a tireless leader, he not only spent his life advocating for firefighters and emergency responders; he pushed to provide them with the support they deserved, becoming an national champion for their rights.
Art's impact wasn't measured in business accomplishments alone, but in the countless lives he touched, each story a testament to his extraordinary character. Recognizing the importance of lasting change, he laid the groundwork for a legacy of giving that would extend beyond his lifetime. Art understood that impact is sustained through action, and the Glatfelter Scholarship Foundation is an offshoot of that realization and vision.
Today, we serve as more than just a scholarship fund, but rather a living embodiment of Art's commitment, unwavering determination, and the profound difference that one caring person can make. Through every scholarship awarded to a dedicated first responder, Art's spirit will continue to inspire and empower, shaping the future of emergency response for generations to come.
